بعد مرحلة الاكتشاف، وبعد أن تعرف الطالب على الا؛رف العربية مجردة ومنظومة داخل مقاطع او كلمات مفردة، ستتوجه العناية من هنا فصاعدا إلى مفهوم الجملة. وستكون الأهداف في هذا المستوى موجهة نحو:
القدرة على قراءة الجمل قراءة صحيحة تراعى فيها:
سلامة النطق وصحة المخارج.
قواعد الوصل والفصل بين الأصوات والوحدات اللفظية.
علامات الترقيم وطرائق أدائها.
إثراء رصيد التلميذ اللغوي بحقول معجمية جديدة ستوظف لخدمتها نصوص الكتاب وما تغطيه من مواضيع وأغراض.
إكسابه القدرة اللغوية والأسلوبية على صياغة جمل بسيطة للتعبير عن أحوال مخصوصة، أو وصف مشاهدة معلومة، أو تعليق على مواقف حية.
مدّه ببعض القواعد الأوليّة البسيطة في باب النحو والتصريف والرّسم لتمتين ملكاته ولتأسيس معارفه اللغويّة على قواعد سليمة.
