This series is designed for the non-Arab speaking, senior level student. With a collection of audiotapes and MP3 CD it helps the student learn Arabic through listening and conversation along with reading and writing. The series stresses communication and also offers glimpses into the Arabic culture, both Islamic and national. Divided into 3 grades, it contains textbooks and workbooks combined in one book. The entire series can be taught intensively in 300 classes (averaging 45 minutes one class,) 100 classes for each grade. If the program is not intensive, it can be taught within a three-year period.
Units and Lessons:
The student book contains 16 units. Each unit has 6 lessons designed as follows:
Lesson 1
Presentation: 3 pages that include three dialogues; except the 1st unit which includes 6.
Lesson 2
Vocabulary: 3 pages that include 1. Basic Vocabulary 2. Additional Vocabulary
Lesson 3
Grammar structures: 4 pages that include exercises and grammar summaries
Lesson 4
Sounds and listening comprehension: 3 pages that include minimal pairs, Qur’anic verses, sound recognition and production
Lesson 5
Speaking: 3 pages that include: dialogues, completion exercises, description of pictures, and communicative drills
Lesson 6
