Journey to Islam (Diary Of A German Diplomat 1951-2000)

JourneyToIslam-b.jpg

Our Price: $12.99

Description:
Journey to Islam Diary of a German Diplomat 1951 — 2000.
A lengthy process, rich in remarkable and thought-provoking events, including compelling encounters with Islamic philosophy, led the author to embrace Islam.
His experiences since that time — such as his pilgrimages to Makkah — further deepened his understanding of and identification with, this "Fastest growing religion in Europe".
This "diary" is much more than a record of the author's life. It is a lively introduction to Islam - developed by a Muslim intellectual of European background with the ideology and value system of post-industrial Western society.
Murad Wilfried Hoffman is a retired German diplomat who reverted to Islam in 1980. His accounts here document his initial exposure to Islam and his developing appreciation for the religion culminating in his conversion or reversion. Converts may recognize the first stages of idealism that dissolve into a period of frustration and then resurface realistically to confront the dilemma of the modern Muslim Ummah. It is a treasure of a book. Chapters are often only two pages in length which make it an accessible read for anyone with a busy schedule. Each short chapter however, contains brief but eloquent remarks that will remain with the reader for a long time to come. Through his work as a diplomat he has had ample opportunity to 'fence' with many opponents of Islam. His sparkling replies may come to your rescue as well! There is MORE and an excellent book to share with non-Muslims.
