Abu Ubaidah Ibn al-Jarrah (RA) was one of the Ten Promised Paradise—ten companions who received the glad tidings of Paradise during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on the same occasion. Among them were the four great caliphs: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. But who was Abu Ubaidah Ibn al-Jarrah?
He was one of the earliest converts and strongest supporters of the Prophet. The Prophet called him “the amin (the trustworthy one) of our community.” Aisha even said that Abu Ubaidah was the most beloved companion of the Prophet after Abu Bakr. He was such an outstanding companion that Caliph Umar, as he was dying, wished Abu Ubaidah was still alive so he could nominate him as his successor. SubhanAllah!
Through this illustrated storybook, discover with your children the amazing life and personality of Abu Ubaidah Ibn al-Jarrah.

The Persecutor Comes Home - Story of Umar tells of the conversion to Islam of one of the most famous Companions of the blessed Prophet (s). Umar, a man of strong will and character, was curious about the faith of Islam, yet he was furious when he found out that members of his family, particularly his sister, Fatimah, had joined the faith.
In great anger, Umar proceeded to his sister's house where a scuffle took place. But when Umar realized that Fatimah was not prepared to give up her new faith and he reflected upon the wisdom of the new verses of the Qur'an which she had given him, his heart mellowed and he left in search of the blessed Prophet (s), from whom he accepted Islam. This book is intended for 11-14 year olds.

Ibn Sina, who is referred to as Avicenna in Latin, was a true polymath. Born in the tenth Century his passion for knowledge was unbound, and he made lasting contributions to medicine, maths and philosophy.
He served under princes and kings (and fled from them too), wrote books of philosophy that are still argued over today and set down medical treatments that continue in use. As such, Ibn Sina is often referred to as the most brilliant Muslim thinker in Islam's Golden Age.
With illustrations, photographs, and maps, the rich and diverse world that produced Ibn Sina is vividly brought alive.
Ibn Sina was a doctor, philosopher, astronomer, mathematician, politician and vizier. He was also referred to as the 'Prince of Physicians'. And due to the scope and brilliance of his work he can be compared to the great Leonardo Da Vinci.
In this memoir, Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari asks us to look beyond the extremism and violence that all too often defines the Muslim community toward those, like himself, navigating a middle-way life.

Ibn Battuta was no ordinary traveller. Between 1325 CE when he set off and 1354 CE when he finally returned home to stay, he had visited about 40 modern countries and travelled roughly 75,000 miles, going on foot, camel, horse, wagon, boat, and even sled.
His travels took him to nearly every part of the Muslim world at the time, from Morocco to Mecca, through Persia and Iraq, down the west coast of Africa, into Russia, over to India, and even across to China.
Ibn Battuta's journey gives us a fascinating window into what the world was like in the fourteenth century. With illustrations, photographs, and maps, the rich and diverse world that produced Ibn Battuta is vividly brought alive.

A Starlight View of Islam's Past, offers a fascinating glimpse of World Islamic History for young children using a unique approach to chorological history.
Based on the premise that a starlight can take years to reach earth, the author gives a vivid eyewitness account of past events unfolding in front of him. He illustrates Islamic history from a global perspective rather than an isolation.
Major events such as the spread of Islam, the Mongol and Crusader invasions and the loss of Andalusia benefit from this novel treatment.
