Arabic Exercise Book I: Unit 7Learning the alphabet, colors, shapes and numbers in Arabic.
The
Arabic Exercise Book series
(units 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) is designed to assist parents in teaching
their children now to learn the Arabic colors, shapes, numbers and
alphabet. Each lesson provides students with opportunities to practices
writing, coloring activities, and reinforcement of lesson objectives.
English
transliterations are given to assist parents who are not Arabic
speakers. However, it must be noted that transliterations are
approximate since some sounds in Arabic cannot be adequately represented
using English phonemes (sounds).
Tracing shapes and practice space
have been provided in each lesson in order to give students an
opportunity to practice writing.
Please take special notice of
the line guides (lines drawn under or through the tracing letters and
numbers) that are in the tracing section. These show the correct
placement of the Arabic letter/number in reference to the writing line.
Make sure that students are placing the letters correctly on, above or
below the line as indicated.
Please note: The books are
numbered with odd numbers (i.e. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) to correspond to the
units in the ALP curriculum in which these books are used. The
even-numbered volumes are dedicated to English language skills.
