In this profound work, At-Tabari primarily uses narratives of the Prophet (s), including narrations and commentaries of the Companions of the Prophet (s), most of them from Ibn Abbas, and the Followers of the Companions, mentioning their opinions with complete chains of transmission (sanad), as well as the opinions of the Arabic language linguists. He mentions the different types of recitations, the circumstances of when a revelation occurred, the abrogation of and abrogated verses, as well as the lexical meanings of words, and evidence from a lot of classical Arabic poetry.

Juz' 'Amma, the thirtieth and last section of the Qur'an, is probably the most widely read and memorized of all the parts of the Qur'an. It is studied by Muslim children and by new Muslims, containing as it does, many short chapters which are easy to commit to memory. That said, it is also true that many of those who commit these verses to memory have little or no idea of their meaning and importance. It is therefore with great pleasure that we present this, the new and revised second edition of Tafseer Juz' 'Amma, following the enthusiastic reception of the first edition. We ask Allah, the Almighty, the All-Powerful, to bless this effort by Sameh Strauch to bring to English-Speaking Muslims - and to new Muslims in particular, a taste of the classic Arabic work Tafseer al-Qur'an al-'Adheem by Imam Abul Fida' Isma'eel Ibn Katheer ad-Dimashqi, a work that is rightly considered by many to be one of the best interpretations of the Qur'an ever written!
Interpretation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an with Arabic text in the modern English language. Includes a summarized version of At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Kathir with comments from Sahih Al-Bukhari. This summarized 1 volume version offers brief commentary and hadeeth wherever necessary. This unique combination of commentary and relevant hadeeth makes this a very useful study reference tool. The Arabic text is taken from Mushaf Al-Madinah. Note: The content of all the Noble Qur'an is the same; only the text size is different. The editions may vary slightly within the different sizes.
This Interpretation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an has been revised and the following changes have been made:
Each verse has been put separately with its English interpretation.
The Arabic text of the Noble Qur'an has been taken from Mushaf Al-Madinah An-Nabawiyyah, which has been printed by the Mujamma` of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia for the printing of Al-Mushaf Ash-Sharif, in the year 1405 A.H. according to the instructions of the Chancellor of the Islamic University, instead of the old Arabic text of the previous print of this book which was printed in the United States and Turkey by the Turkish Calligrapher Sheikh Hamid Al-Amadi.
There are some additions and subtractions of chapters and hadeeth from Sahih Al-Bukhari and other hadeeth collections.
Some additions, corrections, and alterations have been made to improve the English translation and to bring the English interpretation very close to the correct and exact meanings of the Arabic text.
This new edition is in two forms — one in a detailed form (in 9 volumes), and the other in a summarized form (in 1 volume).

This product covers Juz’ Amma (Part 30) of the Holy Qur’an. The publishers have designed the text to show the rules of tajweed when reading the Qur'an. The text is written in Uthmani style and has case vowelization and dotting on the letters that are audible. Letters related to tajweed rules are distinguished within the text by the use of colors, indicating the various tajweed rules. This technique helps simplify the rules of recitation for the reader in order to encourage and facilitate correct Qur’anic recitation. The text is color-coded: grey indicates when a letter is not pronounced, red indicates letters which require expanded vocalization, green indicates nasalization and blue shows the emphatic pronunciation of the letter. This copy of the Holy Qur’an clarifies words and meanings by providing detailed explanations in the margins of the text. The English translation accompanying this copy of the Holy Qur’an is by Abdallah Yusuf Ali. In addition, the left pages in this copy of the Holy Qur'an contain a transliteration of the Arabic, phonetically spelling out words in Latin letters to help non-native speakers correctly pronounce the Qur’an.

Yahiya Emerick
The Holy Qur'an is a religious scripture held sacred by over a billion people around the globe. Its message is considered timeless, even as it was revealed at a definite time in history.
Countless scholars have studied and explained the meaning and the message of this book for many generations, and in many cases, their understandings were shaped by the cultural and political forces around them.
For the first time ever, the Qur'an has been translated and explained from the perspective of an American Muslim scholar. Yahiya Emerick, drawing upon the best in the classical Muslim tradition including such luminaries as Ibn Kathir, Zamakhshari, al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah, Razi and others, has crafted a thoroughly updated work emphasizing the historical and cultural background of the man who first taught this message - Muhammad, the son of 'Abdullah, peace be upon him.
This translation and commentary provide a complete array of resources to help the reader understand the context in which the revelations were revealed. This in turn allows everyday readers to "step back in time" and "experience" the message along with those who heard it for the first time.
Different points of view on interpretation and application are discussed and given equal respect, while all background information on the many nations and peoples that are mentioned are fully explored. This truly is a Tafseer for our time.
"Truly, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of night and day are signs for people who think deeply. They remember God while standing, sitting or lying down on their sides, and they contemplate the creation of the heavens and earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You didn't create all of this for nothing!"
