The I Learn Arabic: Multi-Lingual series is a multi-lingual, simplified series for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, which covers the elementary school levels. It is a suitable series for instructors with only 1.5 to 2 hours per week for teaching Arabic.

The I Learn Arabic: Multi-Lingual series is the same as the I Learn Arabic: Simplified Curriculum series, with one exception. The multi-lingual series has introductions and instructions in four languages: Arabic, French, English and German. The rest of the content in the series is in Arabic, and is not translated into these languages. The series is perfectly suited for students who come from non-Arabic speaking families, and need a mediating language to understand instructions.

The series consists of three levels: first, second and third levels. These are immediately followed by another series called the “I Love and Learn Arabic” series, which contains levels four, five and six.

The books form a well-developed curriculum that presents Arabic in an educational, interesting, and simple manner. These books pay great attention to the needs of non-native speakers, and those living in the West. They are characterized by inclusiveness and integration. The series looks at language as a group of general skills and particular exercises. The instructor should not spoon-feed or force the information on students. Rather, they should strive to help students learn these skills by communicating with students; involving students directly in the discovery of the skills, having students pick up these skills, understand, analyze, and finally use them.

The series aims to teach Arabic to children in the best and most advanced ways, by training them in the following areas:
  • Linguistic aptitude: this includes the four language skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • The three linguistic elements: phonetics, vocabulary and grammatical structures
  • Communication aptitude: the ability to communicate, in verbal and written forms, with native speakers
  • Cultural aptitude: imparting various aspects of the Arab-Islamic culture in a form that is interesting and enticing for children at this age, while merging this with aspects of the child’s own culture in the West at this stage
This series depends on Modern Standard (formal) Arabic. It does not use any of the various Arabic dialects, nor does it use a second language to explain. However, it does use the most advanced methods and ways for teaching second languages, while taking into account the nature of the Arabic language. The series is also guided by the curriculums and teaching methods of the Common European Framework of Reference (Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues), which was put together by the Council of Europe. This framework is the basic reference guide for teaching languages in Europe from all angles (objectives, content, teaching methods, styles, etc.). It is a result of the work of language instruction experts in 41 European member states of the Council of Europe. The goal of utilizing this framework is to allow Arabic to take its rightful place in Europe (and the West in general), alongside the other living languages of the world.

سلسلة مناسبة لمن يدرس العربية بمعدل ساعة ونصف الساعة إلى ساعتين فقط في الأسبوع.
سلسلة : أتعلم العربية - المنهج متعدد اللغات - هي نفس سلسلة : أتعلم العربية - المنهج الميسر - مع خصوصية واحدة وهي أن التعليمات المحتوية عليها وقع تقديمها للتلميذ بأربع لغات حية : العربية والفرنسية والأنجليزية والألمانية، وباقي محتوى السلسلة باللغة العربية وغير مترجم الى اللغات المذكورة.
وهي مناسبة تماماً للتلاميذ المنتمين الى عائلات غير عربية ويحتاجون الى لغة وسيطة لفهم التعليمات المطلوبة.
السلسلة مكونة من 3 مستويات : المستوى الأول - المستوى الثاني -المستوى الثالث، تليها مباشرة سلسلة : أحب العربية وأتعلمها، المستويات الرابع والخامس والسادس.
وهي منهج تعليمي متطور، يعرض العربية عرضا تربوياً شيقاً ومُـيَـسراً ويلبي حاجات الأطفال غير الناطقين بالعربية والمقيمين في الغرب. وتتميز بالشمول والتكامل. وهي تنظر الى اللغة على أنها مجموعة من المهارات العامة والأنشطة الخاصة، يسعى المعلم إلى إكسابها الطفل عن طريق التواصل معه، وإشراكه في اكتشافها ثم إدراكها ثم معالجتها وتوظيفها، لا عن طريق فرضها عليه ليتلقّاها بالتلقين
وتهدف السلسلة الى تحقيق تعليم العربية للأطفال بأفضل الوسائل وأحدثها من خلال تمكينهم من الكفايات التالية: الكفاية اللغوية (التي تضم المهارات اللغوية الأربع : الاستماع والكلام والقراءة والكتابة - والعناصر اللغوية الثلاثة: الأصوات والمفردات والتراكيب النحوية )والكفاية الاتصالية (القدرة على الاتصال بأهل اللغة كلاما وكتابة) والكفاية الثقافية (عرض أنماط الثقافة العربية الاسلامية بأسلوب جذاب ومشوق للطفل في هذه السن، وإمداده بألوان من الثقافة العامة المشتركة بين الأطفال في الغرب في هذه المرحلة )تعتمد السلسلة على اللغة العربية الفصحى، ولا تستخدم أي لهجة من اللهجات العربية العامة ولا تستعين بلغة وسيطة. وتهتدي بأحدث الطرائق والأساليب التي توصل إليها علم تعليم اللغات الأجنبية، مع مراعاة طبيعة اللغة العربية. وتهتدي كذلك بمقررات وتعليمات الإطار الأوروبي الـمَرجعي والمشترك في تعليم اللغات الحية في أوروبا: الصادر عن البرلمان الأوروبي. ويمثل هذا الإطار المرجعية الأساسية التي توجه تعليم اللغات الحية في أوروبا من جميع النواحي (الأهداف، المحتوى، طرائق وأساليب التدريس، الخ)

    1. Student Text: The student text is the first step of I Love Arabic Series (from 8 years old) and is supported by a comprehensive workbook, handwriting book, and teacher case. The text is comprised of 16 units discussing critical issues of a child’s world. Each unit is divided accordingly:
