The first student's book contains 5 units, each with 5 lessons and a test. The book in total includes 25 lessons and 4 unit tests. Each lesson consists of a text that includes conversation, an illustrated story, illustrated vocabulary, practice with sounds and letters, two exercises on linguistic structures and conversation, and writing practice. Then, students should complete the accompanying exercises in the the activity book.

Series goals and components
The goal of the I Love Arabic series is to enable the student’s verbal and written communication skills in Arabic. To achieve this goal, the series provides the student with educational materials that help them to use the classical language from the start, while also creating an opportunity to use what is learned in real-life situations.

While this series is directed at non-native speaking children between the ages of 4 and 12, it is also useful in teaching Arab children all over the world.

This series consists of 8 levels which contain a student textbook, workbook, and teacher book. Some levels also include audio tapes (sold separately).
Also in this series the book "I Love Arabic Teacher's Guide" is for using images and cards in teaching Arabic.

Particular times to teach the units
The series books are taught in about 600 classes (with the average class being 40 minutes).

Each level has 100 classes, distributed as follows:

For the first two books:
75 Classes for the student's book
25 Classes for the exercise workbook

From the third book to the sixth book
80 Classes for the student's book
20 Classes for the student's book

Educational content
The series displays Arabic Islamic manners in an attractive, motivating style for children. It also supplies the student with different levels of general education appropriate to the age (especially the first book). The subjects discussed in this series are child-friendly and include topics such as hobbies and toys, life in school and at home, and relationships with friends, neighbors and relatives. It also studies the animal and plant worlds, the outside world like the village and the city, geographical information about the Arab countries, historical information, good manners and scientific facts.

Lingual content
The series displays the vocal system for the Arabic language in its different phenomena and presents vocabularies built around a child. The elementary stage of the series covers around 1,500 words, with the focus in the first two books being on the sensory vocabulary.
It also supplies the child with a number of basic grammar structures (about 300 compositions), and each lesson contains a specific number of vocabulary, structures and expressions. Additionally, the concept of progression is used from one book to another and from one lesson to another.

Integration between lingual skills
The series deals with the four main lingual skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing and uses a complete and balanced approach to all four skills. Special attention is given to speaking and listening in the first two books, and reading and writing are the focus in the third through the sixth books.

Ways of presenting the educational material
Various techniques were used throughout this series to make the lessons more interesting for the child. Stories, chants, songs, conversations, lingual games, and amusing homework assignments designed to provoke the student's motivation and needs utilizing child skills such as drawing, coloring and teamwork were used.
The series contains different kinds of lingual exercises that suit the child, with emphasis on mental and physical activities in an individual, couple, and group setting.
Each book of the series contains a number of tests for evaluating and measuring the student's progress in learning the language. A test is included at the end of each educational unit; therefore, each book has four transitory tests.
The curriculum depends heavily on the use of pictures so the student can easily comprehend the meaning, without turning to an intermediary language. Thus, they are given the opportunity to think and express themselves in a fun and interactive way.

Figured dictionary
The first two books contain a figured dictionary at the end. This dictionary includes the sensory words mentioned in the lessons so that their meanings remain in the student's memory, and they can reference, if necessary. The figured dictionary also prepares the student to use the Arabic dictionary in the future.

Vocabulary list
There is a list of vocabulary at the end of each of the six books. These lists contain all the words that were introduced in each book and are arranged alphabetically for easy referral.

Features:
  • Teaches Arabic as a primary language
  • Arabic only
  • Uses vowelled letters (diactrical marks, or tashkeel)
  • Textbooks focus: listening, writing, reading, and speaking
  • Workbooks focus: exercises and games that support the textbook
  • Evaluations follow every 5 lessons
  • Exposes students to common terminology
  • Illustrated dictionary plus vocabulary list
  • Ideal for Western students; themes are heavily cultural, not necessarily Islamic.
  • A comprehensive curriculum for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in full-time Islamic and public schools

The I Love Arabic Series comes to you from expert language teachers living in over 41 European countries. It focuses on teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers, especially benefiting those who have little time to commit to Arabic throughout the weekdays, and makes learning easy by covering several educational levels: Kindergarten level for ages 3-5 years old and levels 1-6 for ages 6-11 years old. Three systematic divisions (sounds, words and syntactical structure, and conversational practices) enable the learner to generate language accurately in a variety of highly successful modern techniques. These focus sections present the Arabic language clearly and inclusively to meet the needs of Western learners. This curriculum develops fluency by communication, discovery, realization, and then application. It helps Arabic learners to deal confidently with Arabic culture, plus different types of reading and listening passages:
    1. Reading techniques are developed through the study of a wide selection of authentic reading passages, including classic Arabic without concentration on spoken dialect. Regular vocabulary exercises examine word building techniques.
    2. Careful balances of authentic and scripted listening materials build confidence whilst offering the ability to communicate with native Arabic speakers.
    3. A presentation of Arabic culture patterns help Western children to connect with their Arabic speaking peers in other parts of the world.
Student Textbook: The student text is the first step of I Love Arabic Series (from 6 years old) and is supported by a comprehensive workbook, handwriting book, and teacher case. The text is comprised of 14 units discussing critical issues of a child’s world. Each unit is divided accordingly:

    Goals & Contents:
The “I love Arabic” series will help students with verbal and editorial communication in Arabic. To achieve this goal, the series provides the student with educational materials that will help him to utilize formal Arabic from the start and will create the opportunity for him to use what he is learning in real conversations.

The series is directed towards non-Arabic speaking children ages 6-18 years. It consists of twelve levels, each level includes three books which are:
    1. Student’s Book.
    2. Student's Workbook.
    3. Teacher’s Book.
    The linguistic content:
The series displays the vocal system of the Arabic language in its different phenomena. It presents vocabularies that are common in an Arabic dictionary for children. It also features 4,300 words and it concentrates on pictorial concrete vocabulary in the first two books. The series provides the student with a number of basic linguistic structures (about 500 structures). Each lesson contains a specific number of structures and expressions. The lessons gradually advance and each principle is revisited from one lesson to the next. It also includes the entirety of the Arabic syntax rules in the levels (fifth- twelfth) and combines application with practical training based upon theoretical rule.

Integration between the linguistic skills: The series addresses the four main linguistic skills which are: reading, listening, speaking and writing in a balanced integrated way. Special attention is given to speaking and understanding what is heard in the first two books. In the third through sixth books the concentration is on dictation and reading. In the seventh through ninth books the aim is to connect schools with Arabic libraries, children’s magazines, encyclopedias and helps to simplify knowledge departments. And in the tenth through twelfth books subjects and literature is presented in their original text with some adjustment. It also presents chosen examples of poetry prose from the poets Al Jahili, Al Omawi, Al Abbasi along with contemporary poets.

Educational material presenting methods: Different methods are used in this series to make the lesson exciting for the child. Stories, songs, conversations, linguistic games and entertaining homework are incorporated in the lessons to entice learning and help students identify their preferences. It also helps to awaken students' passion for drawing, coloring and teamwork. The series includes different types of linguistic exercises that suit children. An emphasis has been given in terms of mental and physical activities, whether performed in pairs or groups.

Vocabulary list: There is a list of vocabulary at the end of each book in this series that contains all vocabularies and expressions which were presented in all book lessons. The words are alphabetized so the student can find the words needed easily.

Evaluation quizzes: Each book of the series books includes a number of phase quizzes for evaluation and measuring the student’s progress in learning the language.
