Science Starters books introduce children to science by helping them to understand basic concepts. Simple texts provide information about human body, machines, seasons, weather, forces, color, animal kingdom, light and space. A story at the end of each book acts as a reminder of the basic concepts. The series books are graded into three levels:

Level 1 helps readers to sort things in groups, and introduces to them basic science concepts. This level is suitable for children 5-6 years old. In this Level:

Looking After Me

The Looking after Me series of books is aimed at children to introduce them to social skills and help them to develop a healthy, safer lifestyle. The skills and knowledge are introduced through funny stories that are told in simple text and complimented with amusing and reassuring illustrations.

1. Exercise: A book about twins, Jad and Najwa. Like many children their age, they don’t do much exercise and they would much rather play computer games or watch television. But a visit from their grandmother changes their habits and makes them interested in exercise.
2. Keeping Clean: A book about two small children, Makram and Kareem, who does not love being clean. But they learn from the events of the story how to change their habits and to bathe, shower, wash their hair and hands and wear clean clothes.
3. Safety: A book about an adventurous little girl, Leila, who never listens to her parents; she doesn’t wear a helmet, forgets to use sun cream and wonders away from her father. But she learns from the story to follow safety rules and to listen to what her parents say.
4. Taking Medicines: A book about a little boy, Saleem. Saleem learns from this interesting and funny story that medicines are not magical, and, if not taken the proper way, they might be even be harmful.
5. Teeth: A book about a little girl, Maryam and her dog Koko. Koka had a rotten tooth, and Maryam had to take him to the vet to get that tooth removed. In this funny story, the little girl learns how to take care of her teeth.
6. Healthy Food: A book about two children, Rafiq and Tamer. Rafiq loves to sleep over at his friend’s house, because there he and his friend can eat a lot of fatty and salty food, and enjoy meals while watching television. The story helps the two kids to change their eating habits and eat healthy foods.

Good Ethics is a series that teaches children how to deal with others, be kind, and cooperate with loved ones. Sometimes it’s difficult for children to understand the principles of sharing, waiting for one’s turn, or admitting to mistakes. Through this series of real-life stories that touch upon the everyday experiences of children, young readers will find new solutions to common dilemmas with friends and family.
