This textbook will help beginning students of Arabic develop their oral communication skills by introducing them to basic conversational and structural aspects of the language. Intended to supplement first-year textbooks used by students in the second and third semesters of college-level study (or the high-school equivalent), this book assumes a basic knowledge of the Arabic alphabet as well as familiarity with elementary-level vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure. The approach emphasizes oral/aural aspects of the language, while offering a review of reading, writing, and grammar.
