This book is for students in full-time and weekend Islamic schools. The experience and events of Rasulullah (S)'s life are explained in a manner that builds the moral and spiritual character of students. Each chapter is a separate lesson, therefore, it is ideal for one class period. The sequential development of events and connections between them are maintained from lesson to lesson. Use of timelines, maps, chapter notes and simple graphics aid in concept building.
Some lessons of the historical events:
The permission to fight was given only after the Muslims arrived in Madinah. Why was permission not given during the Makkan period, when the Muslims were tortured and oppressed the most?
In the Battle of Badr, the Muslims achieved a resounding victory. But in the Battle of Uhud, the story was quite different. What could be the divine wisdom in allowing the Muslims to suffer so much in the Battle of Uhud?
The siege of Madinah during the Battle of The Trench lasted nearly 25 days. Eventually the enemies were defeated without the Muslims having to fight an actual battle. What could be the divine wisdom in making the siege last so long? What lesson do we learn from this battle?
Abdullah Ibn Ubayy was a notorious hypocrite who worked his entire life to damage Islam. On several occasions, ‘Umar ibh Al-Khattab wanted to kill him. Even Ubayy’s son sought Rasulullah’s (S) permission to kill his own father. However, Rasulullah (S) did not give him permission. Why not?
The slander against ‘A’ishah continued unabated for nearly a month, causing distress to Rasulullah (S) and his family. A divine revelation declaring ‘A’ishah’s innocence was finally sent after one month. What was the divine wisdom in delaying the revelation?
The Expedition to Tabuk ended without a battle. Allah could have informed Rasulullah (S) that the Byzantines would not show up for the battle. This would have saved the Muslims from tremendous distress during their journey to Tabuk in the hot summer months. What was the divine wisdom behind this expedition?
After the Battle of Badr, Rasulullah (S) released the prisoners of war prior to receiving divine permission for such an action. What could be the divine wisdom in not sending permission before Rasulullah’s (S) action?
These and many other questions are answered in the book. The events in each chapter not only provide narrative details, but also encourage critical thinking and personal reflection.

Come to Success through Living Eman... This dynamic textbook focuses the reader's attention on the necessity to bridge the gap between an intellectual grasp and the practical application of Eman in one's daily life. By exploring the promises of success that Allah SWT has made to believers in His Glorious Qur'an and through the Sunnah of the Prophet, we can begin to see clearly the star of transformation leading to that true and ultimate success - in this life and in the Hereafter. The reader is shown the importance of formulating and purifying intention: performing a basic regimen of moral and spiritual practice… practice… practice; seeking knowledge as a lifelong devotion reflecting on meaning, purpose and benefit; practicing patience and perseverance (sabr) as an indispensable step on the path to success; and most importantly, praying to Allah SWT for His guidance, help and mercy. The requirements of Eman as supplications through worship, vicegerency and morality are looked d closely so that one can see worship as a reality broad as life itself and the virtual joy of living Eman! Vicegerency is shown to have as foundation self-governance, without which the individual is abased, the family is dysfunctional, and communities are corrupt. And Islamic morality is examined and shown to be a perfect code for the art and science of being truly human, a morality which reaches to the very nucleus of our beings and engenders the fulfilling of our Covenant with Allah SWT. Come to Success through Living Ewan - Part I
explores both the outward aspects and the inner dimensions of Eman

This is a complete set of the Graded Steps in Qur'an Reading and Arabic Handwriting Course with books, workbooks, CDs, and other audiovisual aids for teaching reading the Arabic script, rules of Qur'anic recitation based on the Uthmani script, and Arabic handwriting.
Students need to be able to read and write the Arabic script in order to learn Arabic as a language and study the Qur'an. The Arabic script is phonetically precise and easy to learn and teach. MELS books, charts, and audio materials make this process easy and enjoyable. Reading the Qur’an beautifully is both science and art. For reading the Qur’an, we recommend Graded Steps in Qur’an Reading which uses the Uthmani script of the Madinah mushaf, beautifully written by the Damascene calligrapher, Uthman Taha.
There is a Teacher’s/Self-Study Edition with full explanatory notes in English and a Student's Edition. Each unit and each line of text is numbered. This makes it easy to follow the recording and is particularly helpful for both classroom teaching and individual use. The text is recorded onto CDs. Each unit is a separate track on the CDs. You can thus go to a unit and repeat it as often as necessary. The Arabic script is a quintessential part of Islamic art. Learn the basics of calligraphy using the MELS Easy Steps in Arabic Handwriting Workbooks. See how words are formed from individual letters; trace, copy, and compose words; and write from dictation.
A summary chart shows the Arabic letters in all of their forms, with standard English equivalents and as they appear in words. Includes:
