Start reading is a series of highly enjoyable books for beginner readers. They have been carefully graded into three levels to match reading ability of different age groups, which enables readers to choose the right books. Start Reading books can be read independently or shared with an adult. They promote the enjoyment of reading through satisfying stories supported by fun illustrations. All three levels books are fully vocalized, to ensure that children get used to the proper way of reading Arabic.
Level 2: is aimed at children 6-8 years old, and each book contains not more than 250 words.
Lulu’s Song: All the animals in the forest play musical instruments, except for Lulu the Parrot because she doesn’t find anything to play. Finally, she opens her mouth and squawks. She likes her voice a lot. Do you know what happens after that?

I’m Swimming: It’s time for swim class. Naseem and Qamar are excited about the swimming lesson, but Sameer does not want to swim at all. The kids are having a lot of fun playing water polo, and Sameer is finally convinced and goes into the water. Will he have a role in the game?
Ouch! A hammer hits Dad’s finger, Sawsan is stung by a bee, Samer’s head hits the ground, and Fareed says that they must all be brave. But will Fareed himself be brave?

أُغْنِيَةُ لُولُو: الحوانات كلُّها في الغابة تَعزفُ موسيقاها، إلّا الببّغاء لولو فهي لا تَجدُ شيئًا تعزف عليه. أخيرًا تفتح فمها وتُوَقْوِقُ، فتُحبُّ صوتها كثيرًا. أتعرِفُ ما يحدُث؟
النَّسناس فِرناس: النَّسناس فِرناس ضَجر من تناوُل فطورٍ من أوراقٍ خضراء! الحيوانات كلُّها تحاولُ أن تُساعِده، لكنّه لا يجد في ما يُقترحُ عليه شيئًا يُحبُّه. أخيرًا حدثَت مفاجأة كبيرة. تُرى ما هي تلك المفاجأة؟
الفيلَة جميلَة: الفيلَة جميلَة كانت أضخَم من أن تُشارِك الحيوانات الأُخرى لُعبة "أنا أتسلَّلُ في الغابة!" كانت تُصدِرُ الكثير من الضَّجيج. لكن عندما رأت الخطَرَ الذي يتهدَّدُ رفاقها في الغابة، كان لضجيجها فائدة كبيرة!
النَّمر مَرمَر مزاجُه مُعَكَّر: كان النَّمر مَرمَر عَكِر المزاج. لم يكن يُعجِبُه شيءُ، لا لون السَّماء، ولا لون الغابة، ولا حتَّى لون الشَّمس. وحاولَ رفاقُه مساعدته، فكان قاسيًا معهم. لكن ما الذي حدثَ حين ابْتعَدوا عنه؟
مُسْتَكْشِفو الطَّبيعَة: سمير ونسيم وقَمر وأفرادُ الفَصْل يَذهَبونَ إلى الغابة لاستِكشاف الطَّبيعة. يجدون آثار أقدامِ حواناتٍ ضخمةٍ وأذنابٍ طويلةٍ. خافو كثيرًا، وظَنّوا أنّ حولهم حيواناتٍ مُرعبةً. ما الحقيقة التي اكتشفوها؟
السِّباقُ المَرِح: نَظَّم الطُّلّاب سباقاتٍ ليوم الرِّياضة في المدرسة. سِباق الأرجل الثَّلاث، سباقُ عربات اليد، سباقُ التَّسلُّق. لكن جاء سمير ونسيم وقمر بفكرة رائعة. ماذا كانت تلك الفكرة؟
سِباقُ الكُرَة: الآنسة فريدة تُريدُ أن تُجريَ لطُلّابِ الصَّفّ سباقًا. لكن سمير يكرهُ الجَرْيَ. يريد أن يلعب كُرةَ القَدم. قبل أن يبدأَ اللَّعب خطف كلبٌ الكُرةَ وهَرَب بها. وجرى سمير والآخرون وراءه. ووَجدَ سمير نَفْسه يدخُلُ سباقًا من غيرِ أن يدري...
أنا أَسبَحُ: حانَ وقتُ دَرسِ السَّباحة. نسيم وقَمَر متشوِّقان لدَرس السِّباحة، لكنّ سمير لا يريد أن يسبَح أبدًا. يلهو الأولاد كثيرًا في لعبة كرة الماء، ويقتنعُ سمير وينزل إلى الماء. هل سيكون له دورٌ في اللُّعبة؟
آخ: أصابت مطرقةٌ إصبَع الأب. ولسَعت سوسن نحلة. واصطَدَم رأسٌ سامِر بالأرض وقال فَريد إنَّ عليهم كلَّهم أن يكونو شجعانًا. لكن هل سيكون فريد شجاعاً؟
كُل عَشاءَكَ!: سامر لم يكُن يريد أن يأكُل عشاءه. دَفع الطَّبق بعيدًا، وحتى رمى الطَّعام على الجدار! ما الّذي كان يُريدُه سامر؟
في الحَمَّام عنكبوت!: كان في الحَمَّام عنكبوت! صاحَت سوسن طالبةً النَّجدة. حتّى الأب خاف. عرَفَتِ الأمّ أنّ تلك حيلةٌ من حيل فريد. هل تنقلبُ الحيلة على صاحبها؟
مَرَّة أٌخرى فقطَ!: حانَ وقتُ العودة إلى البيت. لكنّ فريد كان حزيناً. يريد أن يبقى في الحديقة يلعَبُ. يريد أن يَتَزحلَقَ مرّةً أُخرى... مرّةً أخيرة. لكن، أين اخْتفى الأب؟
