Understanding the importance of a curriculum as a thorough development process for the Permanent Qur’anic Centers Curriculum took place in building the learner’s personality in regards to aspects of human growth (physical, cognitive, emotional, and motor development).
A curriculum development process became essential to encounter the need of a curriculum which sustains modern development, considers the circumstances our boys and girls are living in, regards their actual needs, and brings harmony to the goals system which a society tries to achieve. This was achieved due to a high number of notes and remarks in teachers’ questionnaires.
The Permanent Qur’anic Centers Curriculum includes three levels for males and females. Each level is divided into two semesters. A lot of emphasis is placed on the Holy Qur’an (tilaawa, tafseer, and hifz). The curriculum does not overlook the importance of the various Islamic studies. It contains a group of lessons which enrich the learners’ experiences in Islamic studies topics which concern them.
The third level of the Permanent Qur’anic Centers Curriculum addresses the following soorahs to teach tilawa, tajweed, and hifz: Al-Mu’minoon, An-Nour, Al-Furqaan, Ash-Shu’ara’, An-Naml, Al-Qasas, and Al-‘Ankaboot. Tafseer lessons are covered in the following soorahs: Ash-Shoorah, Az-Zukhruf, and Ad-Dukhkhaan. In addition, it includes various topics in Aqidah, Fiqh, Qur’anic science, Thought and Civilization, The Biography of Prophet Muhammad (s), Manners, and Hadeeth.

This book is a useful curriculum for schools teaching the interpretation of the whole Qur’an. The authors followed one systematic, closed, and gradual method while they interpreted the Qur’an. Here are some points that were followed:
Clear and simple sentences appropriate to students’ ages and levels
Each lesson begins with new and previous vocabulary words that students need to know while learning the meanings of the Qur’an
Brief introductions explains general ideas for each Surah
Interpretation for each Surah in direct language
Provides a connection between previous Surahs and upcoming ones
Provides one interpretation that most interpreters agree on with careful avoidance of weak and multi-interpretations
Follows the predecessor method while interpreting Allah’s character verses
Provides several enrichment activities that aim to stimulate students while searching and thinking of Surahs’ meanings; thus, these activities keep information fresh in the minds of students while they discuss the results with teachers
Provides each Surah with significant lessons for teachers to bridge the connection between each theme and its related verse. This is useful to guide students and deepen their Islamic morals
Each lesson ends with multiple questions which aim to evaluate student comprehension
Provides foot notes of sayings, narrations, events, or ahaddith related to the lesson theme which enriches students’ knowledge
Provides only Al-Sahih ahaddith, plus mentions the group of ahadith reporters and the history behind each Sarah’s revelation

The lessons in this series are based on short stories that make learning facts more enjoyable. The stories feature young children that the student can identify with, and they take place in different countries (America, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt) to give students a world view of Islam. They feature different economic and social environments to allow students to see different family structures and situations (i.e., nuclear families, orphans, needy people, widows, and interracial families).
Each book features:
Quran and hadith references
Highlighted vocabulary
Review section at the end of each lesson
Illustrations (no animals or human beings)
Glossary of Arabic terms
These short stories feature five-year-old twins, Muhammad and Maryam, as they learn about tawheed (the oneness and unique nature of Allah). This is Part 1 of two parts in the series.
