Who is Allah? How can I get closer to Allah, the Most Majestic? How can I improve my life by connecting with my Creator? You’ll find the answers to all these questions, and more, in this book.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful, Muslims strive to live a life that is full of good deeds and worship. By learning the ninety-nine beautiful names of Allah we can learn about the characteristics of our Creator and get closer to Him. Allah has given us all the tools we need to succeed in this life and the next, “And thus have we, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee.” (Quran 42:52)
There is a great difference between someone who knows his Creator and one who wanders in negligence of his Lord. It is comparable to someone who is alive and someone who is dead, as mentioned in the Holy Quran:
“Can he who was dead, to whom We gave life, and a light whereby he can walk amongst men, be like him who is in the depths of darkness, from which he can never come out?” (Quran 6:122)
Living becomes a burden and loses its value when a person mistakenly believes that there is a separation between the Creator and the creation. The reality is that all of mankind is connected to God, whether some people realize it or not.
In this book we discover how mankind relies upon Allah Almighty for every breath and the importance of knowing our Creator. The values of life can be derived from the ninety-nine beautiful names of Allah. By learning them, as well as their meanings, we can get to know our Lord and cure the diseases of our hearts.
Learning the ninety-nine beautiful names of Allah and applying them to our lives has a magnificent effect on our faith. It’s easy to apply the characteristics of each name to our daily lives, for example:
Allah Almighty is the All-Knowing. In our lives, we can strive for knowledge and resist ignorance.
Allah Almighty is the Most Merciful. We can choose to live our lives being merciful to others and avoid being cruel.
Allah Almighty is the Generous. Each of us can be generous to our fellow man and abstain from greed.
Allah Almighty is the Originator. By this name, we can learn to be creative with our hands and avoid idleness.
Allah Almighty is the Self-Sufficient. As Muslims, we can work hard to provide for our loved ones without being a burden to others.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih Al-'Uthaimeen
This is a monumental commentary on Kitab At-Tawheed by the late Shaykh Muhammad al-Uthaymeen. Singling out Allah the Mighty and Sublime in His ruboobiyyah (lordship), uloohiyyah (worship), and asmaa wa sifaat (names and attributes) forms the mainstay of the subject of tawheed. Kitaab at-Tawheed by Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad bin Abdil-Wahhab bin Sulaymaan At Tameemee covers the various broader aspects of Tawheed:
What does it mean?
What stipulations from the Quran and Sunnah make it sound?
What matters contradict tawheed, rendering it null and void?
What things affect its strength, causing it to be weak and feeble?
In his usual clear, investigative, and analytic approach, the eminent scholar Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih Al-Uthaymeen explains Kitaab at-Tawheed. The title of the Arabic explanation by the Shaykh is Al-Qawl Al-Mufeed alaa Kitaab at-Tawheed. Kitab At-Tawheed was written by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab. It is an excellent and comprehensive book. It illuminates to the reader the light of tawheed, the oneness of Allah, the very foundation of this deen, the single most important concept, and the purpose behind our creation.
In a hadith collected in both Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, Abu Hurayrah said, "I have loved the people of the tribe of Banu Tamim, ever since I heard three things the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said about them. I heard him saying: 'These people [of the tribe of Banu Tamim] would stand firm against the Dajjaal [the Antichrist].' When the sadaqat [donations for charity] from that tribe came, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'These are the sadaqat of our folk.' Aishah had a slave girl from that tribe, and the Prophet said to Aishah, 'Manumit her, as she is a descendant of Ismaeel (peace be upon him).' "
This book must be read by all Muslims to get the real light of Faith.
