From the author of the Gateway to Arabic Series, The Key to Arabic adopts an innovative method in teaching the skills of reading and writing Arabic to absolute beginners. This program is appropriate for a broad age range. The teacher pauses after each sound, word, or sentence to give students the chance to repeat aloud what they have heard and build confidence in their speaking skills. Extensive written exercises give students ample opportunity to practice the skills they have learned, enabling them to build confidence in reading and writing Arabic.

Each level in this curriculum begins with topics on Allah, the Qur’an, the Prophet (s), ahadith, or Sunnah. The early levels emphasize the five pillars, while later levels contain more detailed studies. Several lessons are devoted to Islamic values to help children develop a sound understanding of Islamic manners, values, and morals. The lessons are designed so that teachers will have a clear path of instruction and can be covered within a 50-60 minute period. Emphasis on each lesson ensures valuable class time is not wasted. Weekend LearningSeries features a variety of activities, including word matching and scrambles, fill-in-the-blanks, and more. Teachers will appreciate lesson objectives at the beginning of each chapter, built-in homework sections, and vocabulary words at the end of each chapter.
Topics for level 9 include pondering over the Qur’an, Ibadat, Islam and violence, permitted and prohibited foods, Khadijah, life cycle of truth, indecency, and more. These topics are age-appropriate for students and encourage moral behavior when difficult situations present themselves. Some of these lessons require increased depth and attention from students. By this level a summarized biography of the Prophet (s) is completed with an understanding of events that shaped his life and early Islam. Students will then have studied biographies of most of the prominent prophets at least once.

The objectives for teaching the Arabic language in the first part of the intermediate level are as follows:
Assist the student with the art of conversation, using classic simplified standard Arabic as the method of expression. Additionally, provide students with the ability to learn and speak Arabic fluently with confidence.
In "Reading and Archives,” enable students to read texts completely and accurately, emulating the teacher's method of reading. Furthermore, correct any errors students may have in understanding and reading the different texts.
Allow the student in "Grammar and Dictation" to gradually learn the basic language order while observing dictation and grammar rules. Also, learn to write connected sentences composed of simple texts that illustrate the vocabulary and rules taught.
Permit the student in “Verbal and Written Expression" to practice verbal expression techniques in order to vary individual style and technique. Teach the student to use acquired expressions and enhance those expressions using personal observations through individual and team activities. Finally, to analyze a text to gain understanding, and the ability to explain, summarize and remark upon it.
This series consists of 9 levels, each level consisting of a student's textbook, workbook, and a teacher book.

The first part of Arabic Language Lessons for Non-Arabic Speakers is a book to teach the Arabic language, and it is concerned with grammar, morphology, vocabulary, and style. Teachers should keep these ideas in mind while explaining and should use the following steps:
Introduce the lesson without referencing the book.
Read the lesson, drawing students’ attention to the repetition of previous material, explaining new material, and asking students questions to ensure that they understood it.
Put students into groups.
Give students time to complete all of the oral exercises, and let them complete the same exercises in written format outside of class.
