Professor Abdur Rahim, Director of the Translation Centre of the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex and former Professor of Arabic at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, has authored texts designed to impart a knowledge of classical Arabic through applied grammar. Each lesson, based on a conversation, illustrates distinctive language patterns. These patterns are elucidated by a variety of helpful exercises. The vocabulary ranges from classical and Quranic Arabic to modern Arabic. This series of books is currently being utilized at various schools to prepare students for the University of London (UK) GCE O-Level and A-Level examinations.

We, at Noorart, believe that teaching language is a critical tool in communication and ultimately in the development of knowledge. In our quest to provide our customers with quality materials, we are pleased to offer the Learn Arabic series. Skills: Reading, writing, speaking, and listening 3. Linguistic Functions: Introduction, greetings, description , requests, and apologies. Series Contents: The Learn Arabic series consists of textbooks, workbooks, and teacher’s manuals for levels K-12th grade. The I Love Arabic Series comes to you from expert language teachers living in over 41 European countries. It focuses on teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers, especially benefiting those who have little time to commit to Arabic throughout the weekdays, and makes learning easy by covering several educational levels: Kindergarten level for ages 3-5 years old and levels 1-6 for ages 6-11 years old. Three systematic divisions (sounds, words and syntactical structure, and conversational practices) enable the learner to generate language accurately in a variety of highly successful modern techniques. These focus sections present the Arabic language clearly and inclusively to meet the needs of Western learners. This curriculum develops fluency by communication, discovery, realization, and then application. It helps Arabic learners to deal confidently with Arabic culture, plus different types of reading and listening passages:
Reading techniques are developed through the study of a wide selection of authentic reading passages, including classic Arabic without concentration on spoken dialect. Regular vocabulary exercises examine word building techniques.
Careful balances of authentic and scripted listening materials build confidence whilst offering the ability to communicate with native Arabic speakers.
A presentation of Arabic culture patterns help Western children to connect with their Arabic speaking peers in other parts of the world.
Student Textbook: The student text is the first step of I Love Arabic Series (from 6 years old) and is supported by a comprehensive workbook, handwriting book, and teacher case. The text is comprised of 14 units discussing critical issues of a child’s world. Each unit is divided accordingly:
Reading Dialogue: Simple and short passages comprising linguistic structures of sounds, vocabulary, expressions, and syntax structures, aim to facilitate learning by teaching the language process and communication.
Reading Comprehension: Exercises aimed at determining the level of children’s comprehension for the meaning of dialogue expressions.
Vocabulary: Vocabulary words are taken directly from reading dialogue. They are combined with graphics to further student understanding and sensory perception.
Conversation: Conversational exercises encourage students to participate in classroom activities, apply reading material within dialogue, and ultimately become fluent speakers.
Sounds: The Arabic language is introduced sound by sound to avoid difficulties that students may encounter while learning letters with similar appearance or sound.
Workbook: The patterns of exercises include:
Listening Comprehension: Exercises aimed at determining the level of children’s comprehension for new vocabularies through out determine the position of letter sound and circle it.
Vocabulary: New vocabulary is listed to help with student memorization.
Reading: to read the new letters, words then expressions gradually.
Writing: Students practice writing letters and then joining them to become words. Illustrations help students to visualize words.
llustrated Dictionary: An illustrated dictionary appears at the end of the workbook and includes word sets found throughout the lessons making memorization easy.
Handwriting Book: Students practice writing Arabic letters, words, and then expressions. Teacher Case: Consists of:
Teacher Guide: Tips on efficient teaching practices.
The book lessons focus on teaching the child the Arabic alphabets, Vocabularies and Structures by providing narrative texts, descriptive texts and short dialogues which teach the children the Arabic language within an interesting linguistic scope.

This book consists of 20 lessons, has 88 pages, measures 21x28 cm, and is printed in four colors.
A glossary at the end of the book is arranged in order of the units and presents words in both Arabic and English, to make it easy for students, teachers, and parents to find exactly what they are looking for and to aid in comprehension.
Lessons focus on the Arabic alphabet, vocabulary, and structures. Narrative texts, descriptive texts, and short dialogues teach students the Arabic language in an interesting environment.
The Arabic letters are ordered with the easiest and most interesting ones first so that students can learn them easily.
The different shapes of the letters are presented clearly, since this book doesn't use two shapes for each letter (as was done in kindergarten). It is important for students to learn to distinguish the shapes at this stage.
The twenty lessons of this book present subjects such as:

My City (means of transportation, traffic signs, traffic rules, day and night, lighting and electricity, technology, pollution)
During Eid (greetings, giving gifts, being healthy, wearing clean clothes, visiting family and relatives, parks and recreation, etiquette, amusement parks)
I Count and Calculate (useful games, the numbers from 1-20, distinguishing between numbers, counting by ten, calculating, helping others)
Various Subjects (means of transportation, the importance and sources of water, cooperation, the greatness of our creator, modern technology)
The textbook and activity book focus on teaching students the following concepts in an easy, natural way, without complex explanations.
All of the letters, mudud, and harakat
The definite article -al and nunation (tanween)
Ta marbuta and ta maftuha, and ha marbuta
Adverbs

I read and write
I observe
I read and recognize the letter
I read and count
I read and connect between similar words
I read and recognize
I connect more than one sentence and read

Series goals and components The goal of the I Love Arabic series is to enable the student’s verbal and written communication skills in Arabic. To achieve this goal, the series provides the student with educational materials that help them to use the classical language from the start, while also creating an opportunity to use what is learned in real-life situations.
While this series is directed at non-native speaking children between the ages of 4 and 12, it is also useful in teaching Arab children all over the world.
This series consists of 8 levels which contain a student textbook, workbook, and teacher book. Some levels also include audio tapes (sold separately). Also in this series the book "I Love Arabic Teacher's Guide" is for using images and cards in teaching Arabic.
Particular times to teach the units The series books are taught in about 600 classes (with the average class being 40 minutes).
Each level has 100 classes, distributed as follows:
For the first two books: 75 Classes for the student's book 25 Classes for the exercise workbook
From the third book to the sixth book 80 Classes for the student's book 20 Classes for the student's book
Educational content The series displays Arabic Islamic manners in an attractive, motivating style for children. It also supplies the student with different levels of general education appropriate to the age (especially the first book). The subjects discussed in this series are child-friendly and include topics such as hobbies and toys, life in school and at home, and relationships with friends, neighbors and relatives. It also studies the animal and plant worlds, the outside world like the village and the city, geographical information about the Arab countries, historical information, good manners and scientific facts.
Lingual content The series displays the vocal system for the Arabic language in its different phenomena and presents vocabularies built around a child. The elementary stage of the series covers around 1,500 words, with the focus in the first two books being on the sensory vocabulary. It also supplies the child with a number of basic grammar structures (about 300 compositions), and each lesson contains a specific number of vocabulary, structures and expressions. Additionally, the concept of progression is used from one book to another and from one lesson to another.
Integration between lingual skills The series deals with the four main lingual skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing and uses a complete and balanced approach to all four skills. Special attention is given to speaking and listening in the first two books, and reading and writing are the focus in the third through the sixth books.
Ways of presenting the educational material Various techniques were used throughout this series to make the lessons more interesting for the child. Stories, chants, songs, conversations, lingual games, and amusing homework assignments designed to provoke the student's motivation and needs utilizing child skills such as drawing, coloring and teamwork were used. The series contains different kinds of lingual exercises that suit the child, with emphasis on mental and physical activities in an individual, couple, and group setting. Each book of the series contains a number of tests for evaluating and measuring the student's progress in learning the language. A test is included at the end of each educational unit; therefore, each book has four transitory tests. The curriculum depends heavily on the use of pictures so the student can easily comprehend the meaning, without turning to an intermediary language. Thus, they are given the opportunity to think and express themselves in a fun and interactive way.
Figured dictionary The first two books contain a figured dictionary at the end. This dictionary includes the sensory words mentioned in the lessons so that their meanings remain in the student's memory, and they can reference, if necessary. The figured dictionary also prepares the student to use the Arabic dictionary in the future.
Vocabulary list There is a list of vocabulary at the end of each of the six books. These lists contain all the words that were introduced in each book and are arranged alphabetically for easy referral.

This book contains 16 units, covering important aspects and the everyday life of children. Each unit is divided into the following:
Dialogue: Each unit starts with an easy, short dialogue, exposing students to vocabulary words, expressions and syntactical structures. This dialogue section is aimed at making students more adept at language usage.
Speaking: Each unit includes exercises for speaking in pairs, so students can become more fluent at using the language. Speaking exercises are interactive, and draw on the material used in the dialogue exercises.
Vocabulary: The vocabulary mentioned in the dialogue is presented again alongside images, to reinforce words in the student’s mind.
New Vocabulary: This section contains pictured vocabulary terms, to enrich the student’s vocabulary with new words.
Sound & Pronunciation: In this second level, the book focuses on the phonological side of words. In each unit, pairs of Arabic sounds that confuse students are presented. Students practice reading and writing these similar letters (similarity maybe in shape and/or pronunciation), and this allows students to read faster and more accurately.
Reading: Reading passages are taken from the dialogue; new material is not presented, so students can easily understand and read.
The Picture Dictionary: The student book contains a picture dictionary at the end of the book. The dictionary includes sensory words in the lessons so these words can come alive in the student’s memory.
