What does Islam Say? was developed as a result of the many inquiries received by the Muslim Educational Trust from students seeking knowledge about the Islamic viewpoint on today's major issues and talking-points for their project work. The book covers issues as diverse as music, racism, abortion, Aids, and many others. This informative book has proven to be of interest to people of all ages who want to know more about their faith, which these days is the subject of many news reports. No book on Islam is entirely comprehensive and so there are areas and topics not covered in these pages. In some cases, readers are given a taste of subjects that deserve extensive further study.

Ibrahim Abdul-Matin
In this groundbreaking book, Ibrahim Abdul-Matin draws on research, scripture and interviews with Muslim Americans to trace Islam's profound dedication to humankind's collective role as stewards of the Earth. Abdul-Matin points out that the Prophet Muhammad declared that 'the Earth is a mosque.' Green means 'path' or 'way' in Arabic. Abdul-Matin offers dozens of examples of how Muslims can follow, and already are following, a Green Deen in four areas: 'waste, watts (energy), water and food.' At last, people of all beliefs can appreciate the gifts and contributions that Islam and Muslims bring to the environmental movement. Green Deen is a welcome hybrid, providing a glimpse into conservation through the lens of religion.

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymin
Discussed in Light of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Young people are humanity's future wealth. They offer hope and strength to their nations and the directions they take in their lives determine the fate of their people. Understanding, addressing, and solving their problems and worries are thus of utmost importance for all members of society. In this unique and lucid booklet, the revered contemporary scholar, Shaykh Muhammad al-ʻUthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him), addresses some of the ideological and sociological challenges faced by modern youth. Starting with an astute description of the state of modern young adults, he outlines major issues hindering their progress on the straight path of Islam. He not only covers current issues such as joblessness, estrangement between the young and their elders, and keeping good company but also discusses subjects like predestination and the limits Islam places on individuals.
In all instances, al-ʻUthaymeen draws on the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah to offer tangible solutions and to inspire the hearts of young people. The simplicity and straightforwardness of this work make even complicated issues easy to grasp. The wise advice the author offers is not only well-presented but practical and compassionate. This book will benefit not only the young of society but their parents and educators as well.
